Serving within the Energy Services Department, the CSBG program helps low-income families meet their basic needs to ensure they are able to focus on achieving their educational and employment goals.

We are always interested in developing partnerships to build better lives throughout Texoma and can use your help! From volunteering at the diaper bank to providing supplies for Getting Ahead classes, there are many ways YOU can make a difference.
We have partnered with MasterKey Ministries of Grayson County Inc., Fannin County Ministerial Alliance, and Fannin County District Attorney's Office to provide our communities a nationally-recognized program based on the aha! Process' Bridges Out of Poverty Curriculum with the mission to help the impoverished populations in Cooke, Fannin and Grayson counties. This effort will radically improve their lives while transitioning out of poverty and into the middle class.
Participants, referred to as Investigators, learn to identify and overcome barriers using resources available to them in a 16-week class called "Getting Ahead in a Just-gettin'-by World." This course is then followed up by a Staying Ahead program which addresses financial wellness, healthy boundaries, and trauma care. We also provide additional education workshops to the middle- and wealthy classes on how not to create further hardships for the low-income populations.
The Getting Ahead program has six (6) facilitators and works directly with TCOG's Foster Grandparent Program to provide free childcare for our investigators.
